Spring is just around the corner! It’s that fabulous time of year when homeowners step up their home maintenance, landscaping, and revamp their home interior. There is something about spring that creates a sense of newness. The new 2022 home interior design trends are the perfect colors to usher in the spring season!

What’s New In 2022

This year’s home interior color trends are stunning. You will find a mix of serene earth tones that would bring a sense of calmness into your home. If that’s not your thing, you will also find a few bold and vivid colors to decorate your home to match your style. The exact shade names don’t matter, as you will find a variety of these colors popping up everywhere, from interior paint colors to fabrics and throw pillows.

Shades of green will be the standout color trend for spring and summer of 2022. All of the earth-toned shades of green are on-trend, so you can’t go wrong with this shade. Think olive, sage, and avocado. These earthy greens reflect the beauty of nature and remind us of walking in a garden. You can’t help but feel calm and relaxed in a room with this color. Benjamin Moore’s paint color called October Mist is a soft gray-green color that will compliment so many of the 2022 color trends. It makes a great foundation color with deeper greens like fern-colored greens. These shades of green pair well with chalky white, earthy blues, and some shades of burnt red. October Mist is perfect for bathrooms and painted cabinets. Make it pop with plants and greenery or works of art depicting scenes from nature.

The blues are going vintage and earthy for 2022. Breathe paint by Graham & Brown is perfect for creating a calming and peaceful space for a more vintage look. A stone-blue shade like this will bring you back to nature and pair well with a creamy white. A brighter sky blue is another blue that is trending for 2022. Use this tone on ceilings for an uplifting look that will make your stress float away into the clouds.

Another vintage look for 2022 is the sunny mustard-yellow that pairs so well with greens and stone blue. Use this color to accent your furniture and accessorize your home for a cheerful look. You can find chairs, dishes, throw pillows, and artwork to display this earthy yellow.

Deep reds like aubergine or burnt earthy reds are a beautiful compliment to some of the blues and greens that will be everywhere in 2022. You will see them everywhere, from wall paint to accessories. While not a bright jarring red, these shades will bring a calmer feel while adding a splash of color to neutral backdrops.
